Prices at The Mine are designed to come out to a round dollar number once tax is included. Allowing us to eliminate coins and serve customers faster.

Where do you get your inventory?
All over. Literally. We have traveled all over the United States to different warehouses and specialty wholesalers to collect a fine offering of secondhand and vintage items. We also rely on you to sell us your gently used items. In addition to this, we work with a textile recycler in Fort Collins that helps us stay stocked.
Can I donate my stuff to you?
We would love to have your donations. On a couple of conditions: They're clean and still have life in them. No underwear and no paint clothes. Please. We are a for-profit store, so we cannot offer you a tax receipt, but you can rest assured that any items we are unable to resell will be forwarded on to our textile recycler and they will make them available to the non-profits with whom they have relationships. This is one of many ways that we are helping to close the loop.
What is "The Loop?"
"The Loop," is the term that refers to the life of any item that you purchase. It's basically the life cycle of any item. Every item has a footprint and it's important to try to keep the footprint as small as possible. By keeping your secondhand items local, you're helping to minimize the item's and your carbon footprint. You make a difference when you shop locally and recycle locally.
How much will I make selling you my stuff?
No one is going to get rich selling us their secondhand items. We offer about 30% of the prices listed in store. That's about $1.35 for a tshirt, just to give you an idea. Our goal is to keep prices affordable and to have great secondhand items to offer to our community, supplied by our community. But we still have rent... and taxes... and utilities... you get the picture. We're always happy to take a look and make an offer. We're not offended if you decide not to sell to us. Please keep us in mind and keep an open mind.
